Scrollino® is the new original book form and editorial concept offering a playful experience to all dreamers big and small. A simple pencil is all you need to read, rewind, or even to write in your Scrollino®. Scrollino comes in 2 models: Scrollino® – Single Scroller and Scrollino® – Dual Scroller. See how it works.
The concept was dreamed up and created in 2016 by the founding artists of Edition Lidu, Ludmila & Sylvain Favardin. Scrollino® has since traveled across Europe and has its sights set on revolutionizing reading around the world. Read the story behind the invention of Scrollino®.
Several yards/meters to unroll
Scrollino® – Single Scroller consists of a unique rewinding mechanism (The Scroller), a Scrollino box, and a paper roll to unwind at your own pace. To open the Scrollino simply pull on the tab (Paper Lip) to reveal the activity. The Paper Lip not only protects the paper roll, it also serves to prevent the paper from disappearing once you rewind your Scrollino.
Unroll it all and rewind with a pencil
Each Scrollino comes with a wooden pencil to help you to rewind the paper. To rewind the Scrollino insert the pencil in the Scroller (the rewinding mechanism). The Scroller works with most standard pens and pencils. If you don’t have any handy, check your kitchen drawers or toolbox!
Enjoy the interactivity without your smartphone
Scrollino® – Dual Scroller has a dual-rewinding system (Scroller), a Scrollino box with a “viewing screen,” and a paper roll printed with stories or activities. To start enjoying this Scrollino, insert a pencil in the top scroller and turn it clockwise. Continue turning the pencil to discover more little by little.
Make yourself ready to unwind
Wish to pack it up or take it with you for a trip with the kids? Each Scrollino comes with a wooden pencil. Insert the pencil to the bottom Scroller and turn anti-clockwise to rewind and you are ready to go! Don’t worry if you can’t find the original one, the Scroller works with most standard pens and pencils, so you can keep scrolling everywhere.

We designed the Scrollers to work with most standard pen and pencil profiles (hexagonal, rounded, triangular, etc.) so you can keep scrolling everywhere. If you don’t have any handy, check your kitchen drawers or toolbox!
